The Property Weekend covers

  • Pickup from Lagos airport when you arrive, and a drop-off where you're staying.
  • An air-conditioned car or bus on both tour days, with a driver we have vetted.
  • 6 to 8 developments, 45 minutes each, with the developer's team and title documents on the table.
  • Lunch on both days, and an hour with an independent property lawyer.
  • A Lagos city tour, and the group's December night out on the Friday, tickets and transport included.
  • Your property pack: every stop's title document, price and payment plan, printed and as a PDF.

The Homecoming Week adds

  • Welcome dinner on the first night, and a farewell dinner on the last.
  • Lagos Island heritage: the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History, Freedom Park and the National Museum.
  • Shopping walk at the Lekki Arts & Crafts Market and Nike Art Gallery.
  • Badagry heritage day: the Point of No Return, the Seriki Abass slave museum and Nigeria's first storey building, with the boat crossing.
  • Nature morning on the Lekki Conservation Centre canopy walk.
  • Sunset boat cruise on the Lagos lagoon.
  • Second visits to the properties you shortlist, and a one-to-one meeting to plan your offer and papers.

Not included

  • Flights, visas and travel insurance.
  • Where you stay. Most guests stay with family; if you need a hotel, we book one of our partner hotels at their rate, paid separately.
  • Your own spending, drinks beyond the dinners, and any extra nights out.
  • Any payment to a developer. Nothing is paid on a tour day.

The Homecoming Week

Group 1: Thursday 17 – Wednesday 23 December 2026. Property Weekend guests join on the Saturday and Sunday.

  1. Thursday 17

    Arrivals and welcome dinner

    Airport pickups through the day. In the evening, a welcome dinner on the Island, a short talk on how buying in Lagos works, and your property pack.

  2. Friday 18

    Lagos Island heritage, shopping, then your December night out

    The John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History, Freedom Park (the colonial prison that became a memorial) and the National Museum. Afternoon shopping walk at the Lekki Arts & Crafts Market and Nike Art Gallery. In the evening, a concert or a night on the Island with the whole group.

  3. Saturday 19

    Property day 1

    Developments on the Lekki, Ajah and Ibeju-Lekki corridor, 45 minutes each, and a drive past the Deep Sea Port and Free Zone that are pushing prices up there. A free evening to rest or see family.

  4. Sunday 20

    Property day 2 and the lawyer

    A late start for church or rest. Lekki Phase 1, Ikoyi and Victoria Island, a drive through Eko Atlantic, then an hour with an independent property lawyer on buying safely from abroad.

  5. Monday 21

    Badagry heritage day

    The Point of No Return, the Seriki Abass slave museum and the first storey building in Nigeria, with the boat crossing. Back by evening.

  6. Tuesday 22

    Nature morning, second visits and a boat cruise

    The canopy walk at the Lekki Conservation Centre. In the afternoon, second visits to the properties you shortlisted, then a sunset boat cruise on the Lagos lagoon.

  7. Wednesday 23

    One-to-ones and farewell dinner

    Meetings to plan your offer, the papers for your lawyer and introductions. Farewell dinner in the evening, then Christmas with your family.

Group 2 (Wednesday 30 December 2026 – Tuesday 5 January 2027): the same programme, arranged around New Year. Welcome dinner on 30 December; heritage, shopping and the New Year's Eve night out on the 31st; a rest day and a sunset boat cruise on 1 January; property days on 2 and 3 January; Badagry on the 4th; second visits and the farewell dinner on the 5th.

Heritage, shopping and nature days are run with a licensed Lagos tour operator. Places can change for closures, weather or traffic; we replace them with something similar.

The Property Weekend

  1. Before the weekend

    Airport pickup and your pack

    We collect you from Lagos airport on the day you arrive and drop you where you're staying. Your pack arrives on WhatsApp: every property on the route, with its title, price and payment plan, so you can send it to your lawyer early.

  2. Friday night

    Your December night out

    Join the whole group for a concert or a night on the Island, tickets and transport there and back. Skip it if it isn't your thing, or if you land later.

  3. Saturday, 7:00am

    Lekki, Ajah and the Ibeju-Lekki corridor

    Three or four developments, about 45 minutes each. We start early to beat the December traffic. Lunch on the way.

  4. Sunday, 10:00am

    Lekki Phase 1, Ikoyi and Victoria Island

    Two or three more developments, then lunch.

  5. Sunday, 2:00pm

    Buying safely from abroad, with a lawyer

    One hour with an independent property lawyer: title documents, searches, power of attorney, and how to pay safely when you live abroad.

  6. Sunday, 4:00pm

    Lagos city tour

    The places visitors ask about, from galleries to the lagoon. Home by early evening.

  7. After the tour

    Second visits, in your own time

    Like one? We arrange a second visit, the papers for your lawyer, and payment through your lawyer or an escrow.

The homecoming guarantee

Buy within 90 days and $1,000 comes off our agency fee.

Our agency fee is 5% of the purchase price, paid by the buyer when the sale completes. We tell you that before you see a single property. If you buy, the property part of your tour comes off it.

ExampleOn a ₦150,000,000 house our fee is ₦7,500,000. $1,000 comes off it, at the exchange rate on the day you sign.
Time limitSign a contract or make a first payment within 90 days of your tour's last day. For Group 1: by 20 March 2027 (weekend) or 23 March 2027 (week).
No agency fee to pay?If you buy from a developer who pays our fee instead, the developer takes $1,000 off your price.

One credit per household. Property Weekend: what you paid (up to $1,400 for two). Homecoming Week: $1,000, the property part. Live video: $150. It counts for any property we introduce, on the route or not.

Can't travel? Join by live video

  • $150, paid when you book.
  • Watch both of Group 1's property days live, and ask questions at every stop.
  • The lawyer session by video, the recordings, and the same property pack.
  • The same guarantee: your $150 comes off our fee if you buy within 90 days.

Buying safely

  • Every developer on the route shows its title documents and lets your own lawyer search them. We check that the documents are shown; your lawyer checks that they're good.
  • Developers pay us a fee to be on the route, and a commission if you buy from them. We tell you which, at every stop.
  • We can introduce an independent lawyer who isn't paid by any developer.
  • Pay only into a company account or your lawyer's escrow. Never on the day, never to a person.

Deposit and refunds

  • A deposit confirms your booking: $300 for the Property Weekend, $500 for the Homecoming Week. We hold your place for 3 days while you pay.
  • The balance is due by 1 December 2026. Live video is paid in full when you book.
  • You can switch between the weekend and the week, move to the other group or to live video, or pass your place to someone else, any time before 1 December 2026.
  • The deposit isn't refundable if you cancel. If you cancel after paying the balance, we refund the balance if we fill your place.
  • If we cancel, or a group has fewer than 6 guests by 1 December 2026, you get everything back within 7 days.
  • You pay in US dollars by card, through a secure payment link. We never ask you to pay into a personal account.
